Situated in the Western Pacific Ocean, the Philippines is home to more than 7,000 islands. With a wide range of tourist attractions and rich flora and fauna, it could emerge as Southeast Asia’s premier tourist destination. Its appeal to local and foreign tourists is undeniably high. According to the Department of Education, 6,620,908 foreign tourists visited the Philippines last year; marking an 11% increase compared with the 2016 figure of 5,967,005.
With tourist destinations ranging from white sand beaches and picturesque mountain ranges, the Philippines is truly a place that would top a traveler’s go-to list. It offers an adventure that will keep you wanting for more. If you are a beach-lover who wants to go to Boracay, you can also opt to visit El Nido, Palawan or Amanpulo which offer the same magnificent white sand beaches. If you want to go soul searching, Sagada is the place for you. According to a friend who’s been there, Sagada is not what most people would imagine when picturing Philippines. With the rich culture of the indigenous people and unusual burial method, these alone make Sagada worth a visit.
No matter the type of adventure you want, Philippines has a variety of destinations you could choose from. Indeed, Philippines is home not just to 7,000 islands but also to numerous paradise just waiting to be discovered. It is no wonder why foreign tourists keep on coming back in our country because truly, it’s more fun in the Philippines.
