In accordance to the pertinent provisions of the Republic Act 7722, otherwise known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994” as well as the provisions of CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 1 series of 2020, the Commission issued a Call for Proposals for the Grant of Assistance to SUCs to Combat COVID-19 on 2 April 2020.
The deadline for submission of proposals has been extended to close of business day of 30 September 2020. Interested SUCs may still send their proposals to CHED on or before the set deadline. Proposals submitted must strictly fall under the priority area/category of Production of Face Masks.
The submitted proposals under the said grant should comply with the following:
(a) Face Mask per unit cost of production in the project should be within the suggested retail prices (SRPs) provided in pertinent DOH Memoranda;
(b) Requirements set forth by the concerned government agencies, and that produced materials should undergo product testing before distribution to intended beneficiaries to ensure compliance with safety measures and protocols. All proposals, including other documentary requirements, must be emailed/submitted to <firstname.lastname@example.org> and copy furnished the Chairperson-designate of the SUC, and the Office of Planning Research and Knowledge Management, OPRKM (email@example.com).
